Magician Adam White Kicks Off GI Library Summer Reading Program

Master Magician Adam White entertained a young crowd at the Grand Island Public Library to help promote this year’s summer reading program. Matt Williams interviewed him after the show. 

White, a professional magician since 1993 and a Nebraska native, will presented lessons in the importance of reading through magical effects. 

“I love doing this show,” White said. “It energizes me every time I present it. I have the best seat in the house because I get to see all of the kids’ faces as they ‘aw’ in amazement and laugh hysterically. It is purposely designed with the entire family in mind and the parents have as much, if not more fun than their children!”

White appears at more than 200 events annually including conventions, theaters and schools nationwide. He is highly respected in the magic community as one of the country’s leading family magicians, and is also the author of the children’s magic book “You Are Magic!”

“Mega Monday” programs featuring special guests like Adam White will be held at the library every Monday at 10:30 a.m. through July 22, and are free and open to all ages.
