Northwest Senior Elliott Balcom Named Merit Scholarship Semifinalist

(Grand Island, NE) - Late last week Northwest senior Elliott Balcom was announced as a 2025 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. According to nationalmerit.org, more than 16,000 semifinalists are in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Over 6,000 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly 26 million dollars will be offered next spring. Balcom is planning to attend Wichita State University for the aerospace engineering program.
