Red Flag Warning Today

Key Message #1: Near-critical to critical fire weather conditions will be in place this afternoon for the region. A Red Flag Warning will be in effect from 1 to 7 PM this afternoon. Winds gusting to up to 50 MPH will help any fires that spark spread rapidly. 

Key Message #2: Patchy blowing dust will be possible today, particularly for portions of north central Kansas, areas along the Kansas-Nebraska state line and localized areas around open fields.

Key Message #3: A few strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday evening after 10 PM and again Wednesday morning. Hail and gusty winds are the expected hazards with any storms that develop.
