Scotus Nips Northwest Girls & Boys Soccer Clubs

(Grand Island, NE) - The Northwest soccer teams would both fall at home on Monday night hosting Columbus Scotus. The Viking girls would get shutout for the second time this season 3-0 to the Shamrocks. All three goals for Scotus would come in the first half. Northwest is now 6-3 on the season and will next be in action during the Central Conference Tournament that starts on Thursday, April 11th, and runs through Saturday, April 13th. 

In the boys match Scotus would sneak out a 1-0 victory that would be decided by a shootout after the two teams played regulation and overtime scoreless. The Shamrocks would outscore Northwest 4-2 in the shootout round. It was the second match of the season decided by a shoutout for the Vikings and the fourth match this season that has gone past regulation as Northwest has played two overtime matches going 1-1. Northwest is now 4-4 on the season and will next be in action during the Central Conference Tournament that starts on Thursday, April 11th, and runs through Saturday, April 13th.
