Sodbusters Stun Plainsmen
The Hastings Sodbusters earned an unlikely victory on Tuesday. Jackson Crain's bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth completed a 4-3 come from behind win. Hastings won despite being outhit 8-2. Drew Vega had the only other hit. It came with two on and two outs in the 8th. The throw on the infield single was wild allowing two runs to score. Hastings other run came on a disputed obstruction call in the 6th.
Markus Miller worked seven strong innings, but didn't figure in the decision. Michael Hanna worked a scoreless eighth. Creighton Jacobitz worked a 1-2-3 ninth for his first win.
