Sodbusters Take Series Opener
The Hastings Sodbusters battled from an early four run deficit for a 9-5 win over Spearfish. The Sodbusters are nine games over 500 for the first time in franchise history. Hastings scored six in the fourth to take the lead for good. Kade Cartwright worked 2.1 innings of one hit relief for his first win. Braedon Cork dominated the final four innings, allowing only one hit for his team leading fourth save.
Newcomer Bryce Ronken went 2-4, doubled, knocked in two and scored once in his Sodbuster debut. Sawyer Duddleston was 4-2 with a run scored. Josh Prinner went 2-4 with an RBI and run scored. Dino Morales was 2-3 and scored twice. Yamato Sato had his first triple, knocked in one and scored twice.
