St Paul Introduces School Bond Election For $17,975,000

(St Paul, NE) – Friday morning the St Paul Board of Education introduced a school bond election in an amount not to exceed $17,975,000. The bond if passed would address several district needs at St Paul public schools. A few of the benefits include.

New classrooms recapturing space from demolished 1923 building with additional new spaces for special education

Elimination of the 1923 building will allow the investment of tax dollars in other areas such as the welding/mechanics shop, science labs, and updates to the 1950s elementary wing

New, clearly defined, secure activities entrance into the building with additional “commons” space

Additional classrooms included for future expansion, including pre-K and life skills on campus with ADA accessibility

New “theater-like” transformation of the old gym with theater seating, acoustic panels, etc.

Updated HVAC units in 1950s wing, including elementary gym A/C and natural daylight in addition

Cafeteria expansion with added outdoor space for student instruction and use

Creativity in 2-story expansion project with phased approach over a 1.5 year construction timeline without disrupting students.
