TJ Maxx Employee Arrested For Theft-Unlawful Taking $5,000+

(Grand Island, NE) On 06/04/2024, an Officer would respond to 201 Wilmar Ave Ste A; TJ Maxx regarding an employee stealing items from TJ Maxx. Contact would be made with the employee identified verbally as Amy Wiese. Loss prevention staff would advise that an investigation was started on Amy back in February 26th of 2024. Loss prevention staff would be able to find video footage of multiple incidents ranging back to December of 2023. It would be reported that Wiese would take clothes, purses, shoes, and other clothing items while working. Loss prevention staff would value the average of items taken to be $113 per incident. Loss prevention would further value the total of items lost to be $7797. Wiese would admit to stealing the items but would be unsure if the total amount was correct. Wiese would then be placed under arrest for Theft-Unlawful Taking $5,000+.
