UNK Wind Ensemble announces members, fall concert dates

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney Wind Ensemble has announced its fall 2024 members and concert dates.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 and Dec. 5 in the Fine Arts Recital Hall on campus. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

The Wind Ensemble was also selected to perform Nov. 21 during the Nebraska Music Educators Association’s annual conference at the Lied Center in Lincoln. It’s been 10 years since the group last received this recognition. That concert is free and open to the public, as well.

Open to any UNK student, the Wind Ensemble is selected by competitive audition each year. The group performs on campus and across the region, including an annual spring tour. UNK Director of Bands Duane Bierman leads the Wind Ensemble.
