The fourth set saw the Golden Eagles rebound quickly, taking a 10-0 lead on the Wildcats forcing a pair of early WSC timeouts.  The 'Cats got as close as 13-7 following a service ace by Walker but Cal State Los Angeles went on to score six of the next seven points to thwart any Wildcat rally and the Golden Eagles finished with a 25-15 fourth set win.
Wayne State got off to a strong start in the fifth set taking a 4-1 lead thanks to a kill by Beller and service ace from Robles.  But Cal State Los Angeles responded with six straight points for a 7-4 lead.  The Golden Eagles extended that advantage to 11-7, but Wayne State had one last surge with two kills from Robles and a Golden Eagle attack error to close within 11-10.  CSLA came out of the timeout and scored the next two points and finished the set with a 15-12 win to rally for a 3-2 victory.
