Work on I-80, Minden to Gibbon

June 6, 2024 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin June 11 on I-80, from reference post 279.48 to reference post 283.70, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. 

Werner Construction, Inc. of Hastings is the contractor for this project. Work includes milling, asphalt overlay, guardrail and grading on I-80. Traffic will be maintained with nighttime lane closures, a 12-foot width restriction and temporary off-ramp closures at the Minden interchange.

Daytime work include bridge repair, milling, asphalt overlay, guardrail and grading on N-10, from reference post 47.44 to reference post 47.70. Anticipated completion is Nov. 2024.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
